Modern architecture, material selection, and of course, lighting.
Glass, stone, stainless steel, and white walls were the only acceptable materials. Whatever lighting we chose needed to maintain those elements.
Square recessed downlights were painted to match the ceiling. Outdoor lights were either stainless or painted to match the stone floor. All interior lights were composed of glass or stainless steel.
A strict linear alignment of lighting fixtures echoed the architecture. Joists were relocated so lighting units could align with furniture or wall markers.
