Daniel Boulud’s new west side hot spot was designed to be in the image of a cave with minimal intrusions for lighting.

We created two slots for the lighting (which also contained egress lighting and HVAC) to illuminate the tables and wall art.

Giving a presence to the ceiling so that it was not ignored was accomplished by an incandescent uplight between the banquets.

The crushed stone wall panels were backlighted with MR sources, giving a luminous glow and texture to the space.
