Created by renown chef Mario Batali in the Venetian hotel in Las Vegas, this project is meant to reflect the classic cuisine of the Italian experience, kicked up a notch.
The lighting design reflected the architectural design by Tree House to create a visual experience of comfort and warmth. The lighting design used the ceiling coffers with specialized light emitting diodes, recessed lights, and special applications of picture lights to illuminate the bottle racks.
Additionally, an LED uplight is concealed behind the banquets with a stamped metal and acrylic lens to give the walls a little presence.
There are now significant energy restrictions in place, so the creative use of alternate sources was essential.
